Get to know the Que Sera duo!
Having performed at celebrations everywhere, Joanne loves the stage - and the stage loves Joanne.
Joanne’s passion for music has nurtured the appreciation of music for thousands of children. For 13 years she was a music educator and pre-school music specialist in a duo partnership called Toony Loonz. She has also been heard on TV and radio doing voice-overs and singing jingles for commercials.
As a veteran of community theatre and performance, Joanne has performed in many stage productions with various troupes in Montreal over the last 35 years, and is a founding member of The Lyric Theatre Singers.
She is a passionate philanthropist at heart. From theatre to special needs and care for the elderly, Joanne chairs many events for various Montreal charities including B’nai Brith and The Segal Centre for Performing Arts.
At home with Joanne and her husband, Australian-born Merv Middling, you see a partnership in every way, as Merv also sings, plays congas and is part of the Que Sera team from time to time. Joanne is the mother of two grown men - and in her spare time, she loves to paint!
Nick Burgess has been working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. His wide variety of musical stylings have allowed him to perform in both Montreal and Paris.
As a musical director, Nick has worked on over 30 productions including "Guys and Dolls", "Lies My Father Told Me" and "Soul Doctor" at the Segal Centre. He has taught music in both high schools and elementary schools and enjoys working with singers of all ages.
He is also an accomplished singer, composer and arranger.
